Position Summary
The Customer Communications Specialist will utilize research and troubleshooting to effectively assist with customer inquiries, provide accurate guidance, and exemplify excellent customer service.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide superior service through incoming and outgoing communication with customers
- Handle complex customer inquiries via phone and digital channels
- Monitor and perform daily tasks and assist customers with digital banking services including online account opening and enrollment in services
- Respond to digital banking correspondence
- Process transactions and inquiries on accounts accurately and efficiently
- Create customer loyalty by identifying and promoting the Bank’s products and services
- Build and maintain a portfolio through Sales Management
- Assist and provide resolutions to customers with discrepancies or concerns
- Perform research for customers and employees of the bank
- Achieve and maintain 80% of individual sales goal
- Participate in community involvement
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Competencies & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Proficient user of various types of technology and software
- Proactively uncover customer financial needs and solicit new business
- Skilled at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Robust understanding of bank products and services
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with core system and additional banking applications
- Teller and new account experienced, preferred
