Position Title: TEMPORARY: Creative Project Manager (January – June)

FLSA Classification: Temporary, Exempt

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has an opening for a temporary, exempt Creative Project Manager in the Creative Department.

Company Overview: Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum documents and interprets the history of country music—a musical genre central to the identity of the city, the state, and the nation. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the museum combines subject expertise and preservation of an unparalleled collection with expressions of creativity in music, art, and history.

Departmental Overview: The Creative Department supports the Museum’s mission by producing materials for exhibits, programs, events, and other initiatives.

Job Overview: The Creative Project Manager will lead a portfolio of projects requiring creative products, including exhibit installations, print marketing pieces, digital ads, and video content. This position will report to the Senior Director of Creative.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Schedule, assign, and manage execution of creative projects from inception to completion
  • Collaborate with Associate Director, Creative Project Management to identify and evaluate inefficiencies
  • Ensure established creative standards and processes are followed throughout campaigns
  • Acquire deep understanding of CMHOF institution-wide goals through campaign meetings
  • Collaborate on reporting of current departmental workloads and impending deadlines

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent industry experience required
  • 2-4 years’ project management, agency or non-profit experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Basecamp or similar project management system
  • Experience working with graphic designers and/or video editors
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite

Essential Competencies:

  • Possess a diplomatic nature with strong negotiating skills
  • Ability to make time-sensitive and critical decisions
  • Garner a deep understanding of the Museum’s mission, voice, and goals
  • Solid understanding of how to create efficiencies
  • Comfortable in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive and energetic

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week, with additional hours as necessary
