Overview
In-office Lead Design Architect / Draftsperson for multiple projects, providing support to Principal Designers & Managing Director. Point person for all incoming drafting. Assist with all aspects of creating client design presentations.
We are seeking a talented and innovative Drafting & Design Architect to join our small residential interior design firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in residential architectural design and project management, with the ability to work on projects from concept through to completion. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a blend of creativity, technical expertise, enjoyment in multitasking, and client interfacing.
Duties
- Develop and present architectural designs that meet client requirements while adhering to regulations and standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with principal designers, clients, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize CAD software for drafting and designing.
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to inform design decisions.
- Prepare floor plans, furnishing plans, elevations, sections, and schedules.
- Prepare electrical plans, RCPs & plumbing plans.
- Prepare project budgets and manage resources effectively to stay within financial constraints.
- Specify plumbing, electrical, hardware, paint, surface, and other architectural details and prepare corresponding schedules.
- Oversee interior design elements as part of the overall architectural vision.
- Keep Lead Designers and Managing Director appraised of all upcoming tasks and client meetings; set calendar accordingly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
- Proven experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with all team members.
- A keen eye for detail combined with a strong sense of aesthetics in design.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and pivot to different projects as fast-paced deadlines arise.
- Business development experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
