POSITION SUMMARY:
The Social Media Coordinator will assist in monitoring and interacting with Orlando International Airport's social media channels to uphold the organization's image and maintain an engaging, consistent tone. This role focuses on supporting positive interactions and ensuring timely responses across social platforms. Ideal candidates should have a basic understanding of social media engagement, an eye for detail, and some basic knowledge of social media editing and scheduling tools.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience related to communications, film, video production, digital cinematography or graphic design or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience coordinating social media content for an organization including but not limited to Facebook, X, and Instagram.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences, while keeping a consistent brand voice across all social channels.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Knowledge of camera functions and operations.
- Some knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize time-sensitive projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, late evenings, holidays, and weekends as required to capture content.
- Ability to adapt content for various platforms and audiences.
- A team-oriented individual with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Expertise in scheduling, monitoring, and engaging on social media accounts across multiple platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Skilled in using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Strong understanding of social media trends, best practices, and platform-specific strategies.
- Ability to track and report social media metrics to measure engagement and optimize content strategy.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
