PSEG operates under a Flexible Work Model where flexible work is offered when job requirements allow. In support of this model, roles have been categorized into one of four work location categories:

  1. Onsite: Roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.
  2. Hybrid fixed: Roles that are a blend of onsite work/in-person interactions with some ability to work remotely and require employees to live within a commutable distance and be onsite fixed days each week.
  3. Hybrid flexible: Roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.
  4. Fully remote: Roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary

Analysts gather and interpret data to help companies improve performance and achieve goals. They work in a variety of industries, including business, research, and security, and may use data from public and private sources. Analysts evaluate company and client needs, and review information to identify trends and areas for improvement. They gather company information and statistics, and may use statistical methods to collect data across business sectors. Analysts look for patterns in the data and use it to make decisions and changes. They may also create charts and graphs to present results to executives. They use their findings to create plans to improve processes and streamline operations. They may also work with management teams to implement changes. An important function of the Analyst role is to create and deliver reports that are easy to interpret and actionable. Analysts should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be proficient in data analysis tools and techniques. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work well independently or collaboratively.

IT assistant analysts utilize technical and creative problem-solving techniques, delivering outstanding client service throughout the workday. While their duties may shift depending on the specific situation, their main goal is to ensure that employees throughout the organization can utilize the software and devices that they need. This position provides analysis and problem-solving, technical assistance and support coordination to staff for computer hardware, software, networking, and applications systems.

The End User Experience Analyst is responsible for understanding and improving the user experience of digital products and services. This role involves gathering and analyzing user feedback, conducting user research, and making data-driven recommendations to enhance user satisfaction and overall product usability.

Job Responsibilities
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize technical and creative problem-solving techniques to resolve issues.
  • Client Service: Deliver outstanding client service, ensuring employees can effectively use necessary software and devices.
  • Support Coordination: Coordinate support activities, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of technical issues.
  • Data Analysis: Assist in basic data analysis tasks to support problem resolution and decision-making processes.
  • Conduct user research studies, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
  • Analyze user behavior and identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement user experience improvements.
Job Specific Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with 0-2 years of relevant work experience. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, at least 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in user research, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in user research tools and software (e.g., SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, Adobe Analytics).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid US driver's license and ability to travel to PSEG locations.
