McCallie Center of Graphics Excellence in Research Park has an immediate need for an experienced XML Programmer to support the US Air Force’s C-5 Super Galaxy contract. This exciting endeavor involves converting legacy materials to deliver a highly intelligent and extensible Interactive Electronic Technical Manual.
Responsibilities:
- Tag XML documents to the S1000D specification for the LiveContent IETM viewer.
- Incorporate USAF PCRs and Supplements.
- Write / innovate scripts to create intelligent graphics.
- Write / innovate scripts to convert legacy markup languages.
- Turn SGML problems into XML solutions.
Compensation: $40.86 to $50.48 per hour
Requirements:
- 3-7 years of XML tagging and IETM development (IADS, LiveContent, etc.).
- Self-starter who constantly strives to develop new procedures to improve efficiency and has a desire to expand programming skills.
- Aptitude for devising creative solutions to challenges through storyboards or functional prototypes.
- Proficient in web-based programming skills (CSS, HTML, XML).
- Knowledge of graphics formats and their strengths and weaknesses.
- Expertise working as part of a dynamic, interactive graphics and programming team.
- Eye for detail, progress tracking, debugging, ability to multitask and switch gears quickly.
- Willingness to learn and expand abilities on the job.
