We are seeking a Web Developer to join our team in the advertising industry, based in Richmond, Virginia. The main responsibility of this role is to manage and maintain a large-scale website project, lead a team of entry-level developers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of entry-level WordPress developers, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Manage the re-writing and maintenance of an extensive website, ensuring its functionality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality code and conduct reviews.
• Design and implement new features to enhance the website's user experience.
• Establish and guide the website’s architectural framework.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.
• Solve complex performance issues and architectural challenges, ensuring the website runs smoothly.
• Conduct website performance tests to monitor and improve its speed and efficiency.
• Utilize WordPress platform and PHP back-end development skills to build and customize themes and plugins.
• Apply knowledge of front-end technologies, including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery, in website development.
• Manage WordPress database and write MySQL queries to manage and manipulate data.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure the website's compatibility across different devices.
• Use Atlassian Jira, Agile Scrum, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, and other related skills in daily tasks.• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira for project management and issue tracking
• Strong backend development skills for creating and maintaining server-side web application logic
• Experience in bug tracking to ensure the smooth functioning of web applications
• Expertise in client-side scripting to create interactive web applications
• Familiarity with Content Management System (CMS) for managing digital content
• Knowledge of AB Testing to optimize website performance and user experience
• Experience in Agile Scrum for efficient project management in a flexible and collaborative environment
• Proficiency in Ajax for creating asynchronous web applications
• Strong skills in API development for seamless interaction between different software components
• Knowledge of ASP.NET for building robust and scalable web applications
• Experience in Wordpress development for creating customized websites
• Familiarity with WordPress for content management and website creation.
