Position: UX/UI Designer II Location: North Chicago, IL 60064 Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Contract Work Type: Onsite/Hybrid Job Description: We are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to join our growing UX team within Client's Research & Development division. This role will focus on designing intuitive, enterprise-level applications with multiple complex screens and will also involve mobile application design. The ideal candidate has a firm grasp of practical UI skills (especially with Figma) and a strong foundation in user-centered design processes such as UX research, and wireframing. Key Responsibilities: User-Centered Design: Conduct user research, define requirements, ideate solutions, and rapidly prototype. High-Fidelity Prototyping & UI Development: Create and refine UI designs in Figma, ensuring pixel-perfect attention to detail for enterprise-scale and mobile applications. Wireframing & Mockups: Develop low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design solutions effectively to stakeholders and team members. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with project managers, software engineers, and other UX designers to ensure a seamless handoff of design specifications and uphold design quality throughout implementation. UX Research & Testing: Plan and execute user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys), analyze findings, and iterate on designs based on user insights. Stakeholder Engagement: Translate business requirements into engaging user journeys; present design rationale and gather feedback from leadership and diverse client groups. Autonomy & Initiative: Take ownership of design tasks, manage workload independently, and actively contribute fresh ideas that elevate the user experience. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in UX Design, UI Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field. Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe XD). Experience with UX Research (usability testing, user interviews, surveys) and design thinking principles. Strong Communication & Collaboration Skills to work effectively with stakeholders, project managers, and software engineers.
