About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Strategic Communications to provide senior leadership in the development and implementation of multi-channel communication strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the visibility and reputation of the brand, overseeing marketing, media relations, and both internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging. This role involves leading comprehensive communication plans, providing strategic oversight of marketing and branding initiatives, and managing a multi-channel student marketing strategy. The Vice President will also be tasked with monitoring ROI and other metrics, establishing internal communication strategies, and building relationships with local, regional, and national media. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 6-8 years' experience in strategic communication initiatives, with a proven track record of managing multiple teams. The role requires expertise in marketing, communication, planning, and organization, as well as a strong understanding of brand and enrollment marketing within a higher education environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to anticipate and manage crises, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to build professional relationships. Responsibilities also include serving as the primary advisor on internal and external communications, including crisis communications, and providing direction for special events that promote the institution.
