Position Overview

Our client, a large retail company, is looking for a contract Packaging Designer to join their team for 6 months! The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative packaging solutions that align with our brand objectives while ensuring functionality and sustainability. This role requires a strong blend of creative design skills and technical expertise in packaging materials and processes.

This is a 6 month contract role, 40 hours per week. The team works on site 2 days per week in their Framingham, MA office.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop packaging solutions that meet product specifications and brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and supply chain to ensure packaging aligns with product strategy.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to create and modify packaging designs and mock-ups.
• Conduct research on packaging materials and trends to recommend improvements and innovations.
• Prepare and present packaging concepts and prototypes to stakeholders for feedback and approval.
• Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in packaging design or a related role.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
