  • Works with leadership to develop the strategic vision for the company.

  • Initiates design ideas to both internal and external audiences.

  • Contributes to award submittals, press releases, and other marketing materials.

  • Establishes artistic strategy, budgets, and schedules for key project designs.

  • Thorough understanding of project budgets and leadership in both small and large-scale projects.

  • Ensures timely delivery of design projects by managing the design process.

  • Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.

  • Listens well and motivates teams to strive for excellence.

  • Leads teams, fostering innovation and strategic thinking.

  • Supervises and mentors the artistic team, introducing new strategies and techniques.

  • Oversees design project assignments and ensures team direction aligns with overall goals.

  • Directs and manages design teams across multiple disciplines.

  • Collaborative leadership style focused on people and relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent education and experience required.

  • Licensed Architect / NCARB Certification / Registered Senior Interior Architect.

  • 10-15 years of design experience in architectural and interior architecture.

  • Published and/or award-winning projects a plus.

  • Big picture thinker, putting the team's needs before individual goals.

  • Demonstrates creativity, passion, and an interest in the design process.

  • Innovative and able to think outside the box.

  • Clear and compelling communicator.

  • Strong presentation skills for selling and negotiating company services.

  • Strategic thinker, capable of implementing positive change and resolving conflict.

  • An RA with NCARB certification and cannot be in the process of completing exams while employed.

  • Creativity: Ability to develop unique design solutions that will surprise and delight clients.

  • Confidence: Ability to manage and lead other creative staff members.

  • Vision: Capable of articulating concepts clearly to clients, account teams, and other creative members.

  • Technical Craftsmanship: Strong design expertise.
