America's Test Kitchen is seeking a passionate, creative, and experienced Social Media Video Strategist and Producer to join our dynamic team. If you live and breathe social media and have a knack for creating engaging content, we want to hear from you!

As our Social Media Video Strategist and Producer, you will be responsible for concepting, capturing and editing short-form video content for social platforms with a particular focus on Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. As part of the Social Media team, you’ll work with Brand Managers and the Director of Social to create compelling, shareable content that aligns with our brand voice, generates engagement and grows our social media presence.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Creative Video Strategy & Execution: In collaboration with the Social Media managers, handle development and execution of short-form video production from conception and ideation through to final delivery, focusing on storytelling, trends and brand initiatives.
  • Video Editing & Post-Production: Use editing software to edit raw footage into engaging, short-form videos, ensuring content is on-brand and optimized for platform best practices.
  • Content Development & Innovation: Conceptualize and produce fresh, innovative ideas for short-form social videos, staying on top of trends and audience behavior to optimize as needed.
  • Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with social, editorial and marketing teams to craft video content that follows social best practices while aligning with broader marketing and brand goals.
  • Content Management: Leverage project management tools to ensure content is properly organized and tracked, measuring performance, analyzing data metrics and making adjustments as needed.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, platform changes, and best practices in social media video marketing, adapting strategies to maximize engagement and reach.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience creating, editing and optimizing video content specifically for social media, with a strong portfolio of work on platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.
  • Knowledge of social media trends, video formats, and platform algorithms, particularly on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
  • Demonstrated success in increasing engagement and driving measurable results via short-form video content.
  • Proficiency with video editing software, like CapCut, and social media management tools, such as Emplifi.

  • Adaptability and comfort with evolving social media platforms and trends.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, initiative, follow-through, and adherence to deadlines and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A passion for food, cooking, and culinary content that aligns with America’s Test Kitchen's mission and audience.

This position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely.
