Human Resources Generalist - Bott Radio Network

Bott Radio Network (BRN) broadcasts quality Bible teaching, Christian news, and information across the U.S. and worldwide. With over 120 stations, BRN reaches a combined coverage of 64 million people in 16 states, fulfilling the Great Commission by broadcasting the Word of God. Available on terrestrial stations and various digital platforms, BRN continues to expand its reach with quality Christian talk radio to change hearts and lives.

BRN is looking for someone with 5+ years of Human Resources experience to manage the daily functions of the Human Resources department. This role involves overseeing HR processes, administering pay and benefits, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will have held progressively responsible roles in HR and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Track compliance with training, continuing education, and certifications (e.g., safety, anti-harassment)
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain accurate employee records
  • Manage recruitment, background checks, new hire orientations, and employee recognition programs
  • Administer HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, and employee relations
  • Address HR inquiries and participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and stay updated on HR trends and best practices
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and best practices
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple HR projects, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, and delegate appropriately
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to know when to make decisions and when to ask for help
  • Capable of evaluating the effectiveness of HR processes and identifying areas for improvement
  • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
Requirements
  • Experience in progressively responsible HR roles•5+ years
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn our Payroll / HRIS
