Position Overview
L.A. Gauge is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and energetic team player to join our growing manufacturing team as a Material Expeditor. This role is essential in supporting our fast-paced operations by ensuring the smooth movement of materials throughout the production process. This position is a great first step for candidates interested in lean manufacturing and supply chain management.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED (Some college preferred). Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience in a warehouse or machine shop is a plus, but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions. Energetic, fast-paced, and self-motivated with a can-do attitude. Key Responsibilities
(will include, but are not limited to):
Receive, route, and move parts, assemblies, and materials in and out of storage and staging areas. Track and monitor orders using our ERP system (Epicor) to ensure efficient workflow. Review production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to maintain material availability. Work directly with machinists, engineers, inspectors, vendors, and tradesmen on the shop floor. Ensure accuracy by maintaining detailed records of material movement and availability. Perform other duties as assigned to support daily production goals. What L.A. Gauge offers
