How You Will Achieve More With Intellia:
The Patient marketing lead will develop and drive the strategy, planning and execution of patient and caregiver marketing activities in support of the successful commercialization of Intellia's gene editing therapy for HAE.
Candidates will be considered at both the Associate Director and Director level dependent on qualifications.
Responsibilities: The Patient Marketing lead will be a critical role and visible leader within the Commercial organization; he/she will be responsible for Patient/Caregiver marketing activities in preparation for the anticipated launch of the first ever in-vivo gene editing therapy Become the expert in the patient journey via insight generation; educate the cross-functional team as needed and drive strategic choices by identifying unique leverage points within the journey Lead the development and implementation of tactical marketing plans to create a differentiated brand experience, through personal and non-personal promotion, that drives patient engagement and rapid product uptake Work with cross-functional team to develop the patient/caregiver brand narrative and ensure alignment with overall brand narrative and strategy Partner with cross-functional team, especially Patient Advocacy, Patient Services and HCP Marketing, to collectively plan and develop a flawless patient experience Establish the patient ambassador program and ensure alignment with cross-functional team Develop strong working partnerships with cross-functional team including Medical, Patient Services, Patient Advocacy, Program Management, Commercial Operations, Legal, Regulatory, IT and external agencies Partner with Digital Marketing Lead in the development of our direct to patient strategy and overall digital efforts to engage and educate patients Oversee the direction and deliverables of multiple priorities ensuring internal stakeholder alignment, across agency partners, and cross functional partners Manage external agency partners, ensuring the timely and budget-conscious execution of marketing initiatives About You:
Proven track record of collaboration and coordination with key internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Patient Organizations and Patient Opinion Leaders), including the ability to influence without formal authority Strong scientific/medical aptitude; communicates complex concepts clearly and appropriately for the patient/caregiver audience Compassionate partner with a history of connection with the patient communities they've served Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize workload and maintain high attention to detail Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate a point of view succinctly and effectively to senior leaders and external customers Ability to analyze data and identify insights to create compelling messages Experience managing complex projects through the Promotional Review Committee process to approval A proven track record of accountability and delivering results Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Travels as needed: 20% Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. 6+ years of broad biopharmaceutical industry experience, with at least 3 years of dedicated experience within US patient marketing Experience in developing successful unbranded and branded Patient marketing campaigns and managing patient ambassador programs is required Experience in competitive rare/specialty markets is required Prior US launch experience is required
