SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance.
Responsibilities
- Create, analyze, and present detailed reports to support disaster recovery operations.
- Develop communication materials that translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and synthesize data.
- Identify and highlight trends, challenges, and opportunities within disaster fieldwork.
- Develop and maintain strong communication channels to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of critical information.
- Support field teams with timely and relevant reporting tools and insights.
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or a related field; or
- Graduate-level degree or professional registration with 2 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or a related field; or
- 10 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or a related field.
- Strong ability to communicate complex ideas in clear, actionable terms.
- Proficiency in reporting tools and techniques.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and effective information delivery.
- Familiarity with FEMA training and certifications, including:
- IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
- IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
- IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
- IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
- IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals.
- Work onsite in North Carolina
- Initial deployments are expected to be 12 months
- EOD Required
