NBCUniversal Local is NBCUniversal’s local media division that delivers English and Spanish-speakers and bilingual audiences in 31 U.S. markets and Puerto Rico, the very best in local sports, news, weather, consumer and investigative reporting, and lifestyle entertainment across any platform and screen.

NBC10, Telemundo62 and NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Brand and Strategic Marketing Team is seeking a Multiplatform Creative Producer to create superior video content that is engaging, sharable and drives audiences and revenue across digital, social, streaming and broadcast TV.

The ideal candidate has a background in video production as well as digital media, including experience producing custom content for partners and clients. The candidate should have knowledge of video production across platforms including concept development, scripting, shooting, and editing, and an understanding of using digital media tools including audience analytics, social media, and streaming platforms.

The Multiplatform Creative Producer will work closely with the teams in news, content, creative production, sales and digital for all three stations.

This position will also work collaboratively with the Philly Live content team to develop integrated sponsored entertainment segments.

The ideal candidate should also have strong communication and collaboration skills and be passionate about creating high-quality, original, entertaining, compelling, and locally appealing promotional content that builds brands and audiences.

Responsibilities / Job Duties:

  • Ideate, write, produce, edit, and publish multiplatform video promotional content in both short and long-form for WCAU, WWSI and NBC Sports Philadelphia.
  • Collaborate with the News and Brand and Strategic Marketing teams to ascertain promotional needs and conceptualize creative ideas to meet those needs.
  • Write commercial and promotional copy.
  • Direct production personnel (talent, videographers, editors, graphic designers) in all aspects of production process.
  • Create image campaigns for NBC Philadelphia news, lifestyle and sports brands.
  • Create client integrations for Philly Live linear and non-linear platforms.

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-years experience in commercial production, including writing, producing, and directing production personnel and talent.
  • Minimum 1-year hands-on non-linear editing experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience.
  • Creative thinker and self-starter.
  • Strong knowledge and working understanding of production and post-production processes.
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency; including Premier Pro, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and partners.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to speak and write Spanish a plus.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience at an organization that creates content under tight deadlines.
  • Generally, 2+ years in television production, digital video editing or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and transport production equipment on a regular basis.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
  • Must be willing to work in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
