Job Description

The Social Media Specialist position is responsible for supporting the Digital & Social Media Specials and Realities team in the creation, activation and performance analysis of programs across multi-platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, TikTok & other social networks. This position will work in the planning and implementation of social media initiatives to enhance Telemundo’s programming.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and activation of Social Media initiatives across platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Telemundo.com, and more.
  2. Create, plan and execute all content and promotion for Specials, Realities and Syndicated digital properties on Telemundo.
  3. Produce and execute original ideas for photo galleries, video features and articles with SEO copywriting skills.
  4. Close coordination with programming, promotions and production for digital/social projects.
  5. Organize calendars in coordination with programming editorial team.
  6. Organize an archive with content produced for each programming tent-pole.
  7. Moderate social media platforms associated with the properties on a daily basis.
  8. Cross-promote tent-pole programming with other sections within Telemundo.
  9. Active contributor in team planning and development of social media initiatives surrounding programming launches, client programs and special network events.
  10. Manage cross-promotional efforts through social media platforms and execution of TV integrations for major Telemundo, NBCUniversal and client partnership initiatives.
  11. Experience with research and analytics tools including and not limited to Facebook Insights, Trendrr, Hootsuite, Sherablee and Omniture among others.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Communications or at least 3 years experience working for a Television Network.
  2. Bilingual (Written and Spoken).
  3. Excellent English and Spanish writing skills required.
  4. Experience producing content for the Internet required.
  5. Knowledge of Social Platforms and user engagement required.
  6. Complete knowledge of Photoshop required.
  7. Full understanding of Marketing, Public Relations and Social Media campaigns.
  8. Experience working with a web-based CMS required.
