Hourly Range: $16 USD to $20 USD

Job Summary:
This is a multi-duty position that requires working under the direction of both the Creative Strategist and the Media Relations Manager to assist in overall marketing efforts by crafting compelling content that boosts engagement across various marketing channels.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, video editing and production experience, and strong writing and communication skills, while being detail-oriented and a dependable team player.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Creative Strategist to assist in planning, writing, production, and editing of video and digital content.
- Develop and write blog posts, long-form articles, story pitches, and promotional materials.
- Assist media outlets onsite during live racing and special events.
- Responsible for planning, setup, and takedown of video or photo shoots.
- Design promotional materials using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
- Assist with Social Media Strategy.
- Work directly with racing officials and department heads.
- Various press box duties as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in audio and video recording, editing, and production.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to interview and build relationships.
- Self-starter with project management capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to adjust to various client temperaments and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Must pass pre-employment screening including a background check.
- High School Diploma/GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of all social media platforms.
- Experience in the horse racing industry.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Work nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent wrist and hand use.
- Expected to work 30-40 hours a week from April through September.
