Amazon Customer Service is using generative AI to reinvent and reimagine our customer experiences. We are looking for a Visual/UX Designer who can help develop a visual system that's on-brand with Amazon and will bring a high level of detail and polish to our innovative products.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Drive a visual system that brings brand consistency, polish, and familiarity to Amazon customer service experiences.
  2. Incorporate customer feedback, technical constraints, and usability findings into design.
  3. Produce flows, wireframes, design prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interactions.
  4. Be a key contributor to customer service human interface guidelines.
  5. Create detailed design specifications for engineering partners.

A day in the life

A day in the life of a Visual/UX Designer in Amazon Customer Service is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and focused on our customers. You will participate in meetings to review and provide feedback on detailed documentation, and lead sessions where you share customer insights, challenges, and the UX solutions you and your team have developed. You will work closely with UX researchers, writers, producers, and other designers, while also collaborating extensively with product managers, developers, and AI scientists to reinvent and reimagine solutions for our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 2+ years of design experience
  2. Have an available online portfolio
  3. Experience with visual design demonstrated through mockups and style guides
  4. Knowledge of design process

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
  2. Knowledge of mobile and web design patterns and accessibility standards

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $158,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
