Base pay range

$170,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Trump International Hotel and Tower New York is seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing with Passion, Drive and Enthusiasm. This is an important position for the hotel and requires one with the natural drive to inspire and lead a team while meeting the business objectives and service standards of this Forbes Five Star Hotel.

JOB OVERVIEW: The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for the planning, development, execution, and overall management of sales and marketing programs consistent with, and supportive of, the overall business objectives of the hotel for both core and outer markets. Provide guidance, leadership, and supervision to the Sales team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Executive Committee member representing sales and marketing
  2. Direct the hotel in the development, implementation and achievement of its annual business and market plan objectives.
  3. Provide leadership, guidance, and assistance relating to the execution of marketing and sales functions, policies, and standards as established by the company.
  4. Represent hotel in significant interactions dealing with guests relative to sales and operational questions, concerns, and issues. Negotiate contracts with guests.
  5. Initiate the preparation of proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective guests primarily of the hotel guest rooms and rate availability.
  6. Engage in outside sales activities to discuss business opportunities and entertain guests in local and assigned markets (percentage of travel dependent on specific market). Direct site visits and programs for respective accounts and participates in tradeshows, industry and guest events.
  7. Conduct site inspections with potential guests.
  8. Direct the coordination of ongoing research of the travel industry local and national market to detect market trends and related information for the development of new marketing strategies.
  9. Direct the efforts to improve potential from various existing and new markets.
  10. Tracks and manages geographic and channel booking sources
  11. Leads yield and pricing strategy by key segment in concert with Revenue Manager
  12. Manages and leads sales deployment and personnel
  13. Tracks, measures, and manages sales production toward goal
  14. Leads key account management and segment assignment
  15. Leads overall marketing communications plan and management to include: advertising, e-commerce, and public relations
  16. Manages sales and marketing budget

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 5+ years of Sales and Marketing leadership experience, preferably a Five Star/Five Diamond or luxury.
  2. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  3. Familiarity with statistical reports.
  4. Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  5. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  6. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
  7. Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts.
  8. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
  9. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

The salary range for this role is $170,000 to $200,000.
