Job Title: Video Technician

Pay Details:

The starting hourly rate range for this position is $32.17 to $40.17 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist Video Engineer with preproduction/edit facility needs, event day video production needs, and overall operation of video control room
  2. Apply knowledge of HD/SD and digital/analog video standards, video conversion processes, and signal flow to troubleshoot equipment failures and signal routing issues
  3. Provide technical support and connectivity to broadcast trucks as needed
  4. Solder, terminate cables, and utilize common electronics industry tools, including a multimeter
  5. Troubleshoot in-house presentation and multi-media resources and equipment
  6. Create and maintain PM and repair logs as requested by Video Engineer
  7. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Daktronics scoreboard hardware, video matrix systems, and Daktronics software
  8. Work with outside entities, including promoters, vendors, and business partners
  9. Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Skills

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a similar capacity in a live sports and entertainment field or venue preferred
  3. A/V installation experience required
  4. Understanding of Evertz, or similar, A/V routing and patching systems and software preferred
  5. Basic understanding of waveform monitors, vectorscopes, and related equipment to analyze and troubleshoot signal flow
  6. Basic understanding of PC/MAC platforms and video codecs
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  8. Able to work independently as well as provide team-leadership skills
  9. Able to multitask while meeting all deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  10. Able to work well under pressure in a live event situation under changing conditions
  11. Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays as required
  12. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
