Summary:

The Graphic Designer II is an integral member of the creative team, providing advanced design skills and creativity to support our healthcare system's marketing and communication efforts. With a solid foundation in graphic design, this role suits a professional eager to take on a range of projects, supporting local and broader organizational initiatives. The Graphic Designer II will work with a degree of autonomy and collaborate with the managers, directors, and other design team members, delivering high-quality work that meets our brand standards and effectively communicates our values.

Responsibilities:

  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Design and produce graphic art and visual materials for various projects, including promotions, advertisements, web content, and educational materials, with an understanding of the diverse needs of our healthcare community.
  • Independently manage and execute design projects from concept to completion, adhering to brand consistency and communicating effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with the strategic marketing team to create visually compelling materials that reflect our healthcare system’s mission and values.
  • Maintain a high standard of design quality, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Tailor designs for various formats and platforms, ensuring compatibility and user-friendliness.
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects, effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Support the Graphic Designer I staff, promoting design excellence and brand cohesiveness.
  • Stay updated on design trends and best practices, applying them to improve our visual communications.
  • Participate in internal committees and task forces as a representative of the creative team when needed.
  • Has proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and familiarity with other design tools and platforms.
  • Has excellent visual communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Has the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Is well-organized with a methodical approach to tasks, able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and projects.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field required.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design skills and completed projects.

Experience

  • 2 - 4 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or graphic design required.
  • Experience in healthcare or familiarity with healthcare-related projects preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

  • None required.
