DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

HOURS OF WORK: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

LOCATION: City Hall - 632 W 6th Ave, 4th Floor


** Starting pay does not exceed the midpoint of the displayed pay range. **

Under the direct supervision of the Chief Information Security Officer, implements, and/or maintains security camera and access control systems, programs, and services. Works with Information Technology teams to implement and support new security camera and access control systems. Works with Municipal departments to identify, integrate and consolidate existing security camera and access control systems. Acts as an additional resource to support operational security tasks performed by other Security Analysts. Perform other required duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma, GED or equivalent, and eight (8) years of experience in the field related to the position.
  2. OR Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and six (6) years of experience in the field related to the position.
  3. OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and four (4) years of experience in the field related to the position.
  4. OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, a related discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field related to the position.

Must possess and/or complete:

  • Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background check within 30 days of hire.

Preference:

  • Milestone Certified Design Engineer (MCDE)
  • Milestone Certified Integration Technician (MCIT)
  • Milestone Certified Integration Engineer (MCIE)

If selected for hire, the appointment in this position will be conditional based upon a satisfactory Municipal Employment Office conducted Background Check. A Background Check encompasses criminal history, verifying education, and verifying dates of employment.

If selected for hire, appointment in this position requires Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) security clearance and access within thirty (30) days of hire. If the individual selected for this position fails to obtain these clearances and accesses within thirty (30) days of hire, he/she will be terminated.

Military Service Interview Preference

Veterans who wish to be considered for interview preference must attach to the application a copy of their DD Form 214, DD Form 256, NGB Form 22, or a letter from the US Department of Veterans Affairs, recognizing the person as a veteran. The attached documentation must show an honorable discharge or general (under honorable conditions) discharge. The minimum qualifications of the position must be met for preference consideration.

Individuals currently serving as a member in good standing in the National Guard or the organized military reserves who wish to be considered for interview preference must attach proof of current service to the application.
