Job Description:
General Description: The Content Tutor cooperatively assists students with various healthcare subjects including but not limited to math, sciences, and writing through instruction and implementing study skills.
Duties and Tasks:
- Provide tutoring assistance to students as needed.
- Assist ASC Manager in forming specialized study groups as needed.
- Assign software programs to assist students in various academic programs.
- Distribute information leading to academic improvement.
- Consult with faculty regarding center’s resources.
- Research current list of useful Internet resources for student and faculty use.
- Work closely with Tutoring Services Coordinator, academic discipline faculty and staff, and Student Services faculty and staff to provide optimal services to students.
- Provide tutoring services orientation for any willing faculty member.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Tutoring and/or teaching experience in nursing.
- Experience as a registered nurse.
Additional Considerations:
- One-on-one and group tutoring experience.
- Earned credential (certificate, associate of applied science degree, bachelor’s degree) in nursing.
- Successful completion of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
