Our Client Services team is growing! We are on the hunt for a passionate Account Director who has experience in Aesthetics marketing, concepting, creating and executing social content and campaigns. Our client services team serves as the clients' main point of contact and works strategically on solutions that drive measurable results. Who We’re Looking for
A Smarty Account Director serves as the clients’ day-to-day contact for one of Smarty Social Media’s largest clients, reporting to the Director of Client Service. This role manages the account from end-to-end, across several business lines. This person is responsible for protecting both our clients' and Smarty’s best interests while fostering a strong relationship and growing the account.
The role requires a keen understanding of project management and organization, a vision for creative work, strong writing skills, and an ability to build presentations and present in meetings. The candidate must know how to brief creative projects and manage campaigns from start to finish. They are responsible for executing all work with excellence, which means producing high-quality work that exceeds expectations, on time, and on budget. The person in this role will travel to events to help with on-site event activation, working closely with the team to capture content and post in real-time.
The Account Director will contribute to strategic planning, including driving conceptual ideation, annual/project planning, and budgeting. A qualified candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills both internally and in client communications while being an energetic and motivated leader. An Account Director at Smarty must understand internal processes and operations. They’re expected to take the lead in creating and optimizing workflows designed to drive efficiency and support scale.
What You’ll do:
- Client Management: Responsible for day-to-day, timely, and appropriate communications, managing client expectations and deliverables, and leading client presentations/meetings.
- Account Management: Develop proposals/SOWs, budgets, hours. allocation/management, timeline management, and writing briefs.
- Social Media Content Planning & Creation: Proven expertise across paid and organic strategy, social content creation, working knowledge of best practices across all major social platforms, and social media management, plus the ability to analyze social media performance to create and present reports. Highly engaged user of social media, curiosity, and passion for the social space.
- Social Content/Event Production: Attend on-site activations. Work closely with videographer/producer to create, edit and post real-time content to promote event activity.
- Communication and Presentations: Build and present strategic concepts and tactics in a deck format (Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides). Show up with a confident presence, think on their feet, articulate ideas, poised and calm under pressure.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, advertising, or communications.
- Candidate resides in Southern California, but willing to travel and work across time zones as necessary. Our agency is located in Orange County, CA.
- 5+ years of experience in social media marketing or digital marketing agency with a strong knowledge of agency structure, leading teams, and account management.
- Experience in medical device or MedTech with healthcare providers (HCP) and direct-to-consumer (DTC) is a major plus.
- Demonstrate client service experience managing multi-million-dollar client accounts.
- You are a self-starter that thrives on building strong relationships with clients and agency partners with the ultimate goal of delivering work with excellence.
- Social-savvy marketer with a strategic mindset, driving creative development and execution.
- Strong account and project management skill set, with creative vision and a solid understanding of the content creation process.
- Desire to fully own an account from end-to-end. Ready to jump in and do what it takes to get the job done, owning wins and areas of improvement along the way.
- Tech-savvy with a working knowledge of SaaS-based project management/communication tools, social media management platforms, Mac-based operating systems, and Google Business Suite.
- Strong account and project management skill set, with creative vision and a solid understanding of the content creation process.
- Comfortable working in a virtual environment utilizing project management and time-tracking tools.
