Job Summary The Instructional Designer (ID) for Learning and Organizational Development is primarily responsible for working collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs), content experts, and system educators to plan, develop, curate, and test learning content for the efficient upload to and delivery through the learning management system. As a member of the Learning Design and Technology team, they work in close collaboration with senior instructional designers to ensure ID governance and roles and permissions are adhered to in course development submissions. Additionally, they partner with content developers to ensure clarity and specific direction on assignment build and deployment. They are proficient in Articulate or another Prisma Health instructional design-supported authoring tool. The instructional designer has strategic, critical thinking skills; able to determine root cause to clearly understand and deliver the need of the content owner and the end user; and can apply instructional design theories and methods (ADDIE, SAM, Individualized instruction, Blooms Taxonomy, for example) and project management best practices. They are well-versed and skilled in various on-line learning methodologies: eLearning, job aids, interactive simulations and virtual learning - in an effort to consistently deliver a blended approach to the learner. Relationship management is important, maintaining consistent contact with internal and external partners/communities.

Works collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs), content experts and system educators; senior instructional designers and content developers, to meet the educational needs of the organization.
Creates quality courses using Prisma Health instructional design-supported authoring tools, such as Articulate, with high proficiency.
Uses root-cause and discovery analysis techniques in order to break down complex content into simple and instructionally-sound modules conducive to all learning styles; applies instructional design theories and methods (ADDIE, SAM, Individualized instruction, Blooms Taxonomy, for example) and project management best practices.
Stays connected and fosters professional relationships with internal and external partners as stated in the instructional design governance model in order to learn best practices and discover potential risks to system functionality and user impact.
Highly skilled and well-versed in various on-line learning methodologies: eLearning, job aids, interactive simulations and virtual learning.
Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of the content and curates content accordingly.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements Education - Master's degree in Computer Information Sciences, Business Management, Information Technology Sciences, Project Management, Learning and Development.
Experience - Three (3) years in Information Technology Systems, Learning and Development field, project management expertise; Indepth working knowledge of on-line education design and delivery. Preferred: Adult Learning Theory, healthcare/hospital administration background, LMS administration in Healthcare or Education
In Lieu Of Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of extensive instructional design experience.

Mathematical skills

Project management skills
Skill and experience in adult education preferred
Proven experience in managing large scale projects preferred
Knowledge of ADDIE, SAM, Kirkpatrick Model, looms Taxonomy and other learning, design, project management and evaluation methodologies preferred.
Proven experience in healthcare/hospital administration preferred
