Bridge Philanthropic Consulting (BPC), the nation's premier Black-owned fundraising firm, is seeking an experienced Grant Writer Consultant with a strong background in grant writing and consulting. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in securing funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. This role demands exceptional writing, research, and strategic planning skills to support BPC's mission and clients' objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Research & Strategy
Identify and research potential funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources. Analyze client needs and develop strategic grant-seeking plans that align with organizational goals and funder priorities. Provide expert advice on grant strategy, ensuring alignment with the client's mission and programmatic objectives. Grant Proposal Development
Write compelling, high-quality grant proposals, letters of intent, and funding applications. Develop and articulate clear, concise narratives that effectively communicate the value and impact of client programs. Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documentation, data, and supporting materials. Ensure all proposals meet funder guidelines and submission deadlines. Consulting Expertise
Provide strategic consultation to clients on best practices in grant writing and funding strategies. Conduct needs assessments and deliver customized recommendations to enhance clients' grant-seeking capacity. Deliver presentations and workshops to clients and stakeholders, sharing insights and strategies for success. Assist clients in developing long-term funding plans and diversifying revenue streams. Collaboration & Reporting
Work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to refine grant narratives and approaches. Track grant opportunities, submissions, and outcomes, providing regular updates to clients and BPC leadership. Prepare post-award reports and ensure compliance with grant requirements. Qualifications
Consulting Experience: Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience in grant writing, with a proven record of securing significant funding. Grant Writing Expertise: Demonstrated ability to craft successful proposals for foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Research Skills: Strong ability to identify and evaluate funding opportunities through in-depth research. Technical Skills: Proficiency with grant management software, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences. Project Management: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
