What You'll Do:

The Vice President of Global Marketing at Kailera Therapeutics will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive global marketing strategies to drive the commercialization of Kailera's portfolio, including the lead GLP-1/GIP dual agonist, KAI-9531. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role will focus on global market positioning, brand development, and driving demand generation across global markets, ensuring a seamless go-to-market strategy. The VP of Global Marketing will work cross-functionally to align marketing efforts with clinical, commercial, and market access objectives, ensuring successful product launches and sustained market growth. This position will be instrumental in establishing Kailera's presence as a leader in the incretin and cardiometabolic space, directly contributing to the company's long-term commercial success.

Preferred location: Waltham, MA or San Diego, CA (onsite or hybrid 2-3 days per week).

Responsibilities:

Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, agility, and collaboration. Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing plans to support the commercialization of Kailera's portfolio, including the lead GLP-1/GIP dual agonist, KAI-9531. Establish and maintain a strong global brand identity, including the development of value propositions, messaging platforms, and corporate brand architecture. Build and maintain deep market insights through market research, competitive intelligence, and business analytics. Collaborate with clinical development, regulatory, market access, manufacturing, and business development teams to ensure marketing strategies align with corporate objectives and market dynamics. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including key opinion leaders (KOLs), advocacy/professional organizations, and healthcare systems, to support successful market entry and growth. Lead pre-launch activities by developing and executing market preparation and disease education tactics to build awareness and readiness. Oversee the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring optimal use of digital, interactive, and traditional media to drive demand and engagement. Select and manage relationships with key agencies and vendors to support global marketing initiatives, ensuring high-quality support for pre-launch and launch activities. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI) metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs and initiatives. Required Qualifications:

15+ years of relevant experience in Global Marketing Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative global marketing strategies that align with Kailera's long-term goals and market opportunities. Proven success in translating strategy into actionable plans and delivering successful product launches and market penetration. Proven experience in building and leading marketing functions within a new organization, company, or product. Ability to establish foundational marketing strategies and structures in a startup or high-growth environment. Strong skills in collaborating with development, regulatory, medical affairs, market access, manufacturing, and business development teams to ensure seamless product development and commercialization. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners to maintain strategic alignment and achieve performance objectives. Experience in building, leading, and mentoring high-performing marketing teams, including in a hybrid environment. Ability to foster a culture of innovation, accountability, agility, and collaboration, ensuring the team is positioned for rapid growth and successful commercialization. Expertise in utilizing complex clinical data, market research, competitive intelligence, and business analytics to inform marketing strategies. Strong relationship-building abilities with key internal and external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare systems, and investors. Ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships to support successful market entry and growth. Capable of navigating the complexities of a fast-growing biotech environment, while maintaining focus on global market expansion and long-term value creation. Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands effectively. Preferred Qualifications:

Proven track record in marketing within the cardiometabolic, obesity, or endocrinology therapeutic areas, with successful launches and scaling of related products, particularly incretins (GIP/GLP-1). Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies for consumer-driven brands, with a focus on patient engagement and education. Significant experience in US marketing and sales, particularly for launch brands, with a proven track record of successful product launches and market penetration. Demonstrated ability to leverage digital, interactive, and traditional media to create impactful marketing campaigns that drive demand and engagement. Established relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), advocacy groups, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders in the cardiometabolic and endocrinology fields. Education:

A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field is required. At Kailera, we are committed to fostering an inclusive culture. How we treat our people is reflective of this commitment. We share the pay range for this particular role with the actual base salary depending upon factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, market factors, and experience.

Salary Range

$245,000-$320,000 USD
