What We’re Looking For:
An experienced professional who is inspired by the idea of driving innovative communication programs for Democratic politicians, political operatives, and the world that surrounds them, AS WELL AS for public sector clients such as health departments and human services at both state and federal levels.
The Account Supervisor will manage a team of Junior Account Coordinators and Account Managers, and support the success of full-cycle client campaigns and insights projects. The right person has diverse experience in a variety of industries including social media, communications/influencer marketing, and/or political communication and strategy.
To succeed in this role, you will be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, love to communicate with creators and know how to effectively, and be an expert at balancing client needs with creators’ authenticity with proactive solutions. You must be incredibly organized, self-driven, love to think outside of the box, a political messaging savant, and an exceptional leader as well as a team member.
Job Specifications/Qualifications
An experienced professional with 5+ years of social media, influencer marketing and/or political campaign experience.
Minimum of 3 years experience managing others
A college degree or certification in a related field (i.e. Business, Communications, Marketing/PR, Political Science)
Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking
Politically sharp; able to understand the needs and motivations of voters and conceptualize campaign ideas and messaging quickly
Can quickly research and understand complicated political and healthcare topics, and simply convey them in messaging for others.
Seasoned judgment, able to justify recommendations, and be responsive, clear and firm with partners.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills that connects with diverse audiences, including high-level executives, politicians, political operatives, state agency heads and influencers across multiple genres
Able to think of the big picture while being able to execute tasks and projects with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
A creative thought leader who loves to provide input on campaign ideas and proposals
An understanding of different social media platforms and their creator ecosystems, including but not limited to: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter/X, Snap, LinkedIn, etc.
Self-starter -- must ask questions and learn new skills quickly on the job
Actively works to stay current on news in the US and the world, from policy and politicians to social media trends
A Google Suite PRO (G-Docs, G-Slides, G-Sheets, etc.)
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Able to maintain a high level of enthusiasm, flexibility, and assume high accountability for all areas of responsibility
A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and support junior staff as needed
Bonus Points
A calming presence that also can stand their own
Experience vetting and negotiating with social media influencers is a plus
Administrative experience
Foreign language proficiency
Experience in Democratic/Liberal politics
Design experience (Canva counts!)
Experience building and delivering strategic marketing pitches that attract diverse clients and easily communicate complex business models
Duties & Responsibilities
Work closely with our Sales and Executive team to design strategic influencer campaigns and proposals
Research and become an expert in candidates, issues, and messaging for each potential/active project
Oversee and lead team of Account Managers and assistants and support day-to-day communication, negotiation, and collaboration with influencers to meet campaign objectives
Maintain relationships with clients, leaders, and other key stakeholders throughout campaigns and after.
Responsible for the quality control of campaign/program deliverables and ensuring KPIs are met on time and on budget, including boosting on social media.
Responsible for compiling portions of presentations, departmental POVs, agency materials and influencer communications with oversight from the Chief Creative & Delivery Officer.
Council, mentor and train lower level account managers, and assistants.
Own day to day communication with clients under supervision of the Chief Delivery & Creative Officer
Understand risk mitigation and when to bring concerns to leadership
Track, deliver, and present campaign/insights metric reports to brand executives
Throughout projects, adhere to established workflow and processes, and ensure true integration from planning to reporting. Collaborate cross-department to innovate and elevate agency processes.
Implement research and insights methods with direction from the Chief Creative and Delivery Officer (surveys, focus groups, panels, etc.) for client insights projects
Serve as a go-to resource for Junior Account Managers and Assistants, leading training and ongoing recruitment needs
Assist with other miscellaneous tasks as needed
