Daubert Chemical Company is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Sales & Marketing to join our executive team. Reporting to the CEO and based in Chicago, this influential leader will drive revenue growth, expand market share, and enhance brand recognition. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sales and marketing leadership, a deep understanding of the chemical manufacturing industry, and the ability to develop and execute strategies that deliver measurable results.
What will you be doing?
The Vice President of Sales & Marketing provides leadership, direction, and management to the sales and marketing teams, ensuring exceptional service to customers while driving market differentiation and competitive advantage. This role is responsible for analyzing and improving sales effectiveness, refining business processes, and implementing strategies that optimize costs and maximize results. By developing a structured sales methodology and overseeing the full sales cycle, the VP ensures the team operates efficiently and effectively.
A key aspect of this role is establishing and maintaining a strong network of relationships across the coatings, adhesives, and distribution sectors. The VP actively engages with customers, suppliers, distributors, and partners to identify opportunities for growth and long-term collaboration. In addition, this leader directs the company’s marketing efforts, identifying and developing new customer opportunities while expanding market share within existing accounts and selected verticals that align with the company’s core focus.
With a strategic mindset, the VP develops and manages sales and marketing budgets, compensation structure, sets clear performance metrics, and ensures alignment with organizational goals. This role also plays a key part in evaluating new product development initiatives and identifying potential strategic partnerships and acquisitions. Representing the company at trade shows, industry conferences, and key business meetings, the VP serves as a visible leader, driving growth and market expansion.
Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor's degree is required; MBA is highly preferred; minimum 10 years progressive sales leadership experience. Prefer longevity in working in the following industries: lubricants, adhesives, coatings and distribution products and applications. Strong leadership, management, accountability and mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Proven track record in developing successful sales and marketing strategies. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to use data to support price increases and close deals to grow the business. Powerful organizational skills Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. Requires an ability to communicate accessibly and concisely about products or services to internal and external current and prospective customers. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions Technical, financial and business acumen Budgeting, Pricing and Strategic Planning skills Lead generation and sales management experience Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to promote a high level of transparency, productivity and efficiency. The goal is to create loyalty, increase customer satisfaction, and drive business growth. Must be able to travel 25-40% COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Competitive Base Salary and management incentive bonus.
