The U.S. Consumer Services and Enterprise Digital & Data Technology Team brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities in digital experience engineering (Mobile and Web), AI/ML, marketing technology, enterprise communications, travel and lifestyle, and automation, grounded in our data technology model that prioritizes data governance. It employs a ground-breaking focus with development responsibilities for customer-facing capabilities that deepen and expand digital engagement, as well as core technical capabilities that cut across business lines and customer segments.

Requirements for this position:

3 years building and shipping web-based software in a professional environment

Experience building highly interactive web experiences in JavaScript using React, Angular, Ember or similar

A thorough understanding of how the web works, modern web application architectures, modern browser APIs and capabilities

Familiarity with modern service-based web application architectures

Strong communication skills - able to explain technical concepts to designers, product managers and business people in ways that are meaningful to them

Also critical to your success:

The insight to notice problems in how we work, and the initiative to fix them

The ability to see and to understand the larger context in which your team works and to craft solutions within that context

Adaptability to changes in product requirements, organizational structures and business conditions

A strong belief in your own responsibility for ensuring quality craftsmanship

Creativity, passion and the drive to solve challenging problems

An open, collaborative spirit

Bonus points:

Experience building browser applications with React

Experience building server-based applications and services with ES6 and a Node-based toolchain

Experience with multiple relational and non-relational database technologies

Experience building distributed systems with an eye toward scalability, reliability and security

Experience in a fast-paced startup environment

Qualifications

BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline with atleast 5 years of experience in building large scale applications

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)

Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript

Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)

Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus

Familiarity with RESTful APIs

Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

A knack for benchmarking and optimization

Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git

Qualifications

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually bonus benefits
