Senior UX Researcher
Location:
Hybrid (Philadelphia) - 2 days/week in center city Philadelphia office Duration:
6-month contract (with potential extension)
Responsibilities: Collaborate with design and product leadership to develop comprehensive research strategies. Work closely with the ResearchOps team to proactively plan and organize participant recruitment. Choose appropriate research methods that align with project goals and scope. Guide and mentor designers in applying research techniques to their work.
Lead & Conduct Research:
Drive evidence-based research strategies, ensuring the UX Research function is represented in cross-functional teams. Partner closely with UX Design teams to align research insights with product development. Lead user-centered research efforts, consistently driving product improvements and innovations based on actionable insights. Set a rapid, engaged pace for research iterations every sprint cycle. Use research data to identify and challenge assumptions and mitigate risks. Focus on Customer Needs:
Gather and synthesize deep insights into customer use cases and needs, specifically related to search enhancements at the point of care. Collaborate with partner teams to evaluate competitors and market needs in greater detail. Provide valuable input to product and design teams, grounding product strategies in user needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Extensive experience with a variety of research methods, including knowing when and how to apply each approach. Proven ability to lead large-scale, complex research initiatives in linguistically diverse contexts. Demonstrated success in collaborating effectively with cross-disciplinary teams. Experience working with senior executives and influencing business strategies. A strong portfolio showcasing your impact through polished case studies. Expertise in delivering research findings quickly, with concise analysis for actionable insights. A passion for engaging with users, understanding their behaviors, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Ability to understand complex systems, see the big picture, and think strategically, while also applying practical solutions. A learner's mindset-eager to listen, adapt, and grow through collaboration.

Strong understanding of research techniques such as contextual inquiry, secondary research, and jobs-to-be-done. Rapid Synthesis of Data:
Ability to synthesize research data quickly, with knowledge of quantitative methods as a plus.
