Job Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute large design research projects.
  2. Use qualitative and quantitative methods to gather insights on opportunities for Crown products and services.
  3. Engage with executive stakeholders to share research insights through compelling storytelling.

What’s a day-in-the-life as a Senior Design Researcher?

  1. Travel to customer sites to observe operators and identify opportunities.
  2. Employ design research and UX methods to collect and analyze findings from field research.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to uncover unmet needs and translate them into new product and service opportunities.

You are a motivated, self-guided strategist who can grasp complex business issues and communicate insights effectively. You will be integrated into research and innovation work across the company.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design Research, Human Factors, Anthropology, Psychology, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Design Research, Service Design or Strategy.
  • Experience in qualitative research planning and execution.
  • Experience leading observational and contextual inquiry research sessions.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently with overnight stays (6-20%).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience facilitating co-creation and innovation workshops.
  • Demonstrated experience visually representing research findings.
