Job Description
The Web Architect is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, robust, and high-performing web application solutions.
This role involves technical leadership, architecture planning, and collaboration across teams to deliver secure and user-friendly web platforms that align with business goals.
The ideal candidate combines expertise in modern web technologies with strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Planning and Design:
Define and maintain the architecture of web applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Develop and implement best practices for coding, design, and application architecture.
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks for efficient development. - Web Development Leadership:
Lead the design and development of complex web-based solutions using modern web technologies.
Oversee the entire development lifecycle, including planning, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Ensure compliance with responsive design principles and compatibility across multiple browsers and devices. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders to create cohesive web applications.
Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Coordinate with DevOps teams for deployment strategies and cloud integrations. - Performance and Security Optimization:
Design solutions to handle high-traffic loads with minimal latency.
Ensure web applications follow industry standards for security and compliance (e.g., OWASP, GDPR).
Regularly audit code for performance improvements, vulnerabilities, and refactoring opportunities. - Innovation and Research:
Stay updated with the latest trends, frameworks, and tools in web development and architecture.
Explore emerging technologies such as AI/ML, Progressive Web Applications (PWAs), and microservices for potential adoption.
Promote innovation within the team by encouraging experimentation with new technologies. - Documentation and Standards:
Create comprehensive documentation for architecture, design decisions, workflows, and APIs.
Establish coding guidelines, architectural principles, and design patterns to ensure consistency. - Mentorship and Leadership:
Provide technical mentorship to developers and other team members.
Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and enforce standards.
