About the College/Unit/Department The University of Georgia's Office of Online Learning works with faculty to develop high-quality online graduate programs and courses as well as undergraduate summer courses. Our office helps our colleges, schools, and other academic units develop online graduate programs that marry the strengths of the university with the needs of the labor market in Georgia and the nation. The Office of Online Learning also has subunits for marketing, enrollment services, student services, and media production.

Position Summary The Instructional Design Manager for Quality and Analytics coordinates with online programs to identify, construct, and monitor data sources to be used for the maintenance and improvement of the student experience. Their work will focus on a range of data sources (qualitative and quantitative) to inform decision making and author development plans at the program and institutional levels. This person will manage a team of instructional designers who will carry out design work informed by data and analytics.

Use analytics to prioritize online program revisions
Recognize successful teaching and design in existing online programs
Evaluate the effectiveness of tools for learning
Interpret qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and support student learning
Identify opportunities to improve online learning initiatives
Use data to facilitate discussions with stakeholders
