Marketing Specialist Job at Southland Credit Union in Los Alamitos

Role The Marketing Specialist will work closely with the Marketing Manager to support social media and digital marketing initiatives. This role provides support to the marketing department by assisting with creative insights and developing marketing content for digital marketing channels. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with production schedules, creating content, proofreading content, campaign ideation, events, and collaboration with internal groups and external vendors. Major Duties and Responsibilities Social media account management. Create engaging text, photo, and video content. Measure social engagement and analytics, suggest new ways to attract prospective members and engage current followers. Develop a posting schedule, with an emphasis on web traffic and engagement. Stay up-to-date with changes on all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness. Respond to online reviews and feedback. Respond to comments and messages on social media and route communications through the appropriate Credit Union departments. Ensure creative marketing materials undergo regular review and adhere to brand guidelines. Coordinate special events; monitor planning, schedule, and implementation as required for proper execution of each event. Prepare communications and materials related to marketing promotions or campaigns. Make regular visits to branch locations to update marketing materials. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills Experience: Minimum 1 year of marketing-related work experience required. Proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Personal experience with social media channels. Education: High school diploma required. BA degree in marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, or related field preferred. Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Able to demonstrate professional work ethic. Other Skills: Able to maintain a flexible work schedule to support events. Must be able to work with highly sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
