Planet Interactive is hiring: Technical Writer in Cupertino

Technical Writer Location: Remote - must work in PST Duration : 6 months Pay: Up to $81.55/hour; DOE (W2) Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision and more Planet Interactive is looking for a Technical Writer to join our well known Fortune 500 client on a 6 month contract. This role will work 40 hours per week and is onsite in Cupertino. The technical writer will work in a cross-functional team on a hardware industry standard speciation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a public-facing document and collaborate with engineers in a global technology company. Responsibilities: Edit and re-write existing standards documents for brevity and clarity Attend regular meetings with SMEs Initiate and conduct document reviews for accuracy and adherence to style guides Manage deliverables and deadlines Qualifications: BS/MS with at least 10 years of work experience Proficiency with English grammar and punctuation Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and self-driven Ability to work with tight deadlines and to manage workload efficiently Extensive experience with MSWord and applying Industry style guides Experience writing for public standards and regulatory bodies Design experience with hardware interfaces
