Position Title: Expert Consultant, Data Management & Visualization (CHI-ECD-2024A(3)i)
Job Description:
As a member of the growing Data Management & Visualization team in Bains Advanced Analytics Group, the Expert Consultant, Data Management & Visualization will act as a solution architect on projects, owning the data integration solution from end to end. Conduct and lead white-boarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings building strong client relations. Lead analysis, architecture, design, and development of cloud and on-prem data warehouse and business intelligence solutions. Lead the creation and enhancement of data platform solutions (Data Marts, Cubes) to facilitate decision-making. Collaborate with clients Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and Reporting teams to standardize reporting and analytics implementation(s) across a variety of business teams/users/constituents. Design and develop Data Integration solutions (ETL, ELT, Data Governance, MDM). Collaborate closely with and influence business consulting staff and leaders as part of multi-disciplinary teams to assess opportunities and technical solutions for Bain clients across a variety of sectors. Develop reusable frameworks for solving common data integration needs. Establish and implement state-of-art solutions and best practices, reflecting the latest trends and evolving industry standards. Collaborate with leaders of other teams to ensure Bain and AAG are bringing the optimal combination of expertise to deliver results for our clients. Position is in a fixed location based in the Chicago, IL office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. Domestic travel may be required up to 3 days a week, every other week. International travel required only on an as-needed basis.
Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering, or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience in data acquisition, integration, transformation, and wrangling of both structured and unstructured data.
Experience must include: Experience contributing to pre-sales activities, including participating in business development presentations, contributing to proposals, and presenting demos; Communicating the value of analytics and Business Intelligence as a strategic business advantage; Agile development methodology, including leading and training Agile teams; Data Warehousing and Data Modeling, specifically building and understanding star schema-based data marts; Knowledge of Business Visualization toolkits (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Qlikview, Looker etc.); SQL expertise and strong data architecture, warehousing and dimensional modeling experience; ETL/ELT design and implementations in the context of large and complex datasets, especially in the context of Data Science pipeline development; Experience with a variety of relational database and data warehousing technology (e.g. AWS Redshift, Athena, RDS, BigQuery, Snowflake); Experience with big data processing systems and distributed computing technology (e.g. Databricks, Spark, Sagemaker, Kafka, etc.); and, Experience with workflow orchestration, CI/CD and containerization (e.g. Kubernetes, Airflow, Docker, Jenkins).

In Illinois State, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $156,000 - $170,000/year, placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level.
