Job Description

A financial company in the King of Prussia area is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their growing IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the organization’s core network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and seamless connectivity for the company's services. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including Cisco networking gear, SD-WAN, Palo Alto firewalls, and Cisco ACI. You’ll be a key player in driving network solutions and configurations, troubleshooting network issues, and assisting with ongoing infrastructure projects.

As a member of a collaborative IT team, you will engage with various teams to design and implement network solutions, manage configurations, and ensure the network is reliable and efficient. This position is perfect for someone with a strong foundation in core networking technologies who enjoys hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and designing innovative solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering and support

  • Expertise in Cisco network devices, including Catalyst and Nexus switches

  • Hands-on experience with core route/switch configurations

  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, and TCP/IP

  • Experience working with firewalls, specifically Palo Alto and Fortinet

  • Experience in VLAN configuration and wireless/Wi-Fi networking

  • Hands-on experience with site-to-site VPN creation

  • Knowledge of SD-WAN environments and technologies

  • Familiarity with Cisco ACI for SDN, including fabric management in data centers

  • Experience working with network monitoring and management tools

  • Basic knowledge of network automation concepts (Ansible, scripting is a plus)

  • Understanding of NetScaler technologies

  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Meraki experience is a plus

  • Experience with network design and optimization

  • Knowledge of network automation and scripting tools

What You Will Be Doing

  • Configuring, managing, and maintaining core network devices, including Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches

  • Troubleshooting network issues, optimizing configurations, and ensuring network uptime

  • Assisting in the design and implementation of network solutions across a large-scale environment

  • Managing VLANs, wireless networks, and site-to-site VPNs

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on network projects and solutions

  • Contributing to network optimization and performance tuning efforts

  • Developing and maintaining basic automation scripts for network management and provisioning

  • Ensuring network security and compliance through best practices and industry standards

  • 60% Hands-on network engineering: configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization

  • 30% Participating in network design and infrastructure projects
