As we expand our partnership with American Honda Motors & Powersports in Alpharetta, we're seeking a skilled Technical Writer to create clear, user-centric documentation that empowers Honda and its clients to maximize our platform's potential.
Your Day-to-Day at Mapit...
Develop comprehensive technical manuals, knowledge bases, and user guides for Mapit's IoT platform, tailored to Honda's internal teams and end customers (e.g., dealers, motorists). Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and Honda's stakeholders in Alpharetta and Barcelona to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, actionable content. Continuously update documentation to reflect platform enhancements, ensuring alignment with product releases and client feedback. Organize and maintain a centralized repository of technical resources, optimizing usability for diverse audiences. What Makes You the Best Candidate...
Technical Skills
: 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably for IoT, SaaS platforms, or automotive technology.
Expertise in creating user manuals, API documentation, and knowledge bases using tools like MadCap Flare, Confluence, or Markdown.
Strong understanding of software development cycles and ability to interpret technical specifications.
Cultural Fit
: Exceptional ability to simplify complex technical information for non-technical audiences.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and user-centric design.
Collaborative spirit, comfortable working across time zones with teams in Barcelona and Alpharetta.
Language Requirements
:
Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Spanish or Catalan is a plus.
Additional Requirements
: Experience working with cross-functional or international teams.
Familiarity with the mobility or automotive industry is highly valued.
