Job Description

The CAD Designer will be responsible for updating and maintaining mechanical and electrical drawings using AutoCAD. This role also involves the management of AutoCAD Vault, including the reorganization of our extensive library of existing drawings to enhance efficiency and accessibility. The successful candidate will ensure that all documentation meets industry standards, supports project timelines, and maintains the integrity of design data

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • Autodesk Vault Owner
  • Develop, implement, and maintain drawing organizational standard.
  • Organize existing plant drawings.
  • Provide relevant drawings to external engineering firms for large site CAPEX projects.
  • CAD Designer
    • Develop, implement, and maintain drawing standard.
    • Review and approve drawings from external engineering firms or other site personnel.
    • Complete new and as-built drawings for mechanical and electrical drawings at the direction of project engineers. Drawings include but are not limited to:
      • P&IDs
      • Piping isometric
      • Equipment layout
      • Loop drawings
      • Panel layout
      • Single Line Diagram
  • Complete electrical and mechanical drawings with the desire to learn.
  • Carry out/ take on any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
Qualifications
  • Technical Degree with 5 years of experience as a CAD designer with industrial equipment. Experience can be in Electrical and/or Mechanical.
  • Intermediate/Expert in AutoCAD.
  • Experience with 3D design software.
  • 5 years of experience with drawing organization preferably in AutoCAD Vault.
  • Understanding of drafting conventions, standards, and tolerance specifications.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to organize, manage, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise between technical teams and management.
  • Adaptability: Quick to learn new tools or adapt to changes in software or processes.
  • Time Management: Efficient in managing time, especially under tight project deadlines.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work within a team, contributing to a collective goal while also being able to work independently when necessary.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
