Xrcventures is hiring: Marketing Director in Portland

Role

HILOS is looking for a talented, creative, driven, and organized specialist to manage our external comms and community building. This person will need to function both at the strategic and tactical levels, managing an overall comms and marketing strategy while building out content calendars, managing event briefs, and creating content across our channels. Note that this person doesn’t need to be able to do everything - video, photo, and graphic design - but would need to be fluent in all of them, have moderate graphic design skills, and be able to direct contractors as needed. Open to part-time or full-time. Must be based in Portland, Oregon and available in-person as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manages overall comms and marketing strategy for the company
• Ensures product marketing strategy aligns with company communications
• Manages company CRM, email marketing, and social posting across LinkedIn, Instagram, and expansion opportunities such as Pinterest and YouTube.
• Manages and updates company website
• Directs and develops content (graphics, photo, video) for comms channels
• Develops event briefs and accompanying content

Necessary Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience running social or comms strategy, start-up experience a plus
• Above average graphic design skills, experience in Figma
• Highly developed creative sense and experience in art direction/creative direction
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
