What We Need :

We’re seeking an experienced Part-Time Traffic Producer.

What You'll Do :

1. Monitor all traffic cameras, scanners, maps, social media, and other resources for traffic information.
2. Enter that information into the traffic database and assist anchors.
3. Collect and input traffic data into the TTWN database for the on-air reporters.
4. Provide accurate, useful, and timely traffic information to commuters.
5. Maintain crucial deadlines to provide constantly up-to-date traffic information.

What You'll Need :

1. Ability to understand and interpret map data.
2. Excellent writing and editing skills; proficient in grammar.
3. Strong computer skills and familiarity with social networking platforms.
4. Adept at working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
5. Excellent communication skills, complemented by diplomacy, empathy, and patience.
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to plan and organize.
7. Confidence and tenacity to build rapport to pursue information.
8. Ability to handle stress and work calmly under pressure.
9. Knowledge of geography and roadways within the local coverage area is preferred.
10. Previous experience as a television producer and/or public safety dispatch is helpful.
11. College degree or certificate preferred in relevant fields.
