POSITION OBJECTIVE
To create, develop, and provide technical information to our customers, such as service manuals, part books, online publications, training material, etc.
Coordinate technical publication product deliveries, based on production plans.
Work together with After Market and R&D groups to develop means to support our customer information requirements, assure least expense to Epiroc, and minimum downtime for the customer.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of technical literature to meet product shipment schedules and customer requirements.
- Update technical information (Parts book pages, service manual section pages, training manuals, online information), based on the continued revision of the information or requirements from customers, Engineering, After Market Group, etc.
- Customer and After Market Group support, providing technical information for specific machines and software.
- Cataloging technical literature for specific product lines and software products by creating assembly drawings based on Engineering drawings, CAD, photographs, or sketches drawn on the shop floor during assembly.
- Develop and provide technical information for customer special requirements.
- Involvement in job-related quality, cost reduction and improvement programs.
- Other tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of an associate’s degree is required.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of ST4, Creo or equivalent, FrameMaker, Interleaf publishing, and electronic graphic illustrating.
- Computer skills: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Solid technical education, able to read technical schematics, make descriptions of technical procedures and understand the use of large equipment.
- Familiar with technical writing standards for equipment manufacturers.
REQUIRED PHYSICAL EFFORT
- Some travel is required.
- Ability to climb on and off large drilling equipment.
