Midtown Audio Visual seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for music and events to join our team as a DJ/Event Coordinator. This role combines the exciting opportunity to DJ at events with the crucial responsibility of coordinating and managing all aspects of event logistics, from initial client contact to on-site execution. The ideal candidate possesses a basic understanding of audio-visual equipment, excellent communication skills, and a strong sales aptitude.

Responsibilities:

• Sales & Client Management:
  • Answer inbound phone calls from website inquiries and Google PPC ads.
  • Follow up with potential clients, providing information about our services and pricing.
  • Develop and present proposals to clients.
  • Effectively close deals and secure event bookings.
  • Maintain positive client relationships throughout the event planning process.
• Event Coordination:
  • Coordinate all aspects of booked events, including scheduling, logistics, and client communication.
  • Liaise with the production team to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Manage event timelines and ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Handle any on-site issues that may arise during events.
• Audio-Visual Knowledge:
  • Possess a basic understanding of audio-visual equipment, including lighting, sound systems, DJ equipment, and staging.
  • Be able to troubleshoot basic technical issues.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in event coordination or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment (lighting, sound, DJ equipment, staging).
• Strong sales and client management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Experience as a DJ is a plus.
