Normandy Design Build Remodeling is hiring: Design Coordination Manager - Interi

Are you an experienced interior design professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for guiding teams to success? Normandy Remodeling, one of the largest design-build remodeling companies in the country, is looking for a Design Coordination Manager to support our growing team of talented designers/salespeople.

We specialize in major home remodels and interior renovations across Chicagoland, earning a reputation for high-quality construction, exceptional customer service, and stunning design. Our team of 22 passionate designers and architects collaborates closely with homeowners to create inspired spaces, and we are seeking a dynamic leader to help drive our team’s success.

Your Role

As the Design Coordination Manager, you will be responsible for mentoring and managing the design support staff, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in project detailing, and fostering a collaborative environment. Your role will focus on guiding the design coordination process and maintaining a high standard of service for both our designers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support the design coordination team, including showroom manager(s)
• Oversee design processes, ensuring project details align with company standards
• Collaborate with designers/salespeople to refine concepts and resolve design challenges
• Ensure accurate pricing, sourcing, and documentation of materials
• Review and approve blueprints and design documents for accuracy and feasibility
• Foster a positive and supportive team environment

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in interior design, residential remodeling, or a related field
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team
• Proficiency in design software (Chief Architect preferred)
• Knowledge of NKBA standards for kitchen & bath design
• Expertise in cabinetry, plumbing, tile, and residential construction materials
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
• A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
• Comfortable splitting time between Hinsdale and Evanston (up to 50%)
