Our purpose-driven organization is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Brand, Planning and Content. Reporting to the AVP, Brand & Marketing Strategy, and leading a newly established team, this role will strategically develop, implement, and measure brand and content initiatives with a focus on driving brand association, affinity, and growth.

What can you expect to be accountable for in this role?

Team Leadership:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of 3+ brand and content specialists.
  • Foster a positive, empowering culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Co-develop efficient/effective processes to support team and organization brand/content operations.

Strategy Alignment & Brand Development:
  • Champion and bring to life the unique value proposition for the Definity portfolio of brands, guiding delivery of consistent differentiated, brand experience across all touchpoints.
  • Lead development of annual and quarterly brand and content plans, naming, and identity initiatives.

Brand Governance:
  • Lead ongoing brand governance and set-up consistent frameworks and processes to support this across the organization.

Brand Measurement:
  • Implement tracking, measurement, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess brand progress and health across the portfolio.
  • Socialize brand health findings and collaborate with key stakeholders to review and align on progress and action plans.

Brand Activation:
  • Lead and oversee brand initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies. Work may include brand and content activations, integrated and omni-channel advertising campaigns, sponsorships and events.
  • Recommend, track and report on brand budgets.

What do you bring to the role?
  • University degree in Marketing, Business or Communications.
  • 8-10 years progressive experience in the marketing field, with strong expertise in brand and broad experience across all disciplines and channels of marketing. Experience in insurance considered an asset but not required.
  • Positive player/coach mentality with demonstrated success in leading teams.
  • Excellent people skills, with proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrated orientation towards positive mindset, problem solving, ownership, collaboration, and flexibility.
  • Effective communication/presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated brand and business acumen.
  • Proficiency in market research, data analysis and mining for insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively drive self, people, process, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of guiding and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets.

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in various incentive plans which are paid out at the discretion of the company and subject to individual and company performance.
