Starting Salary Range: $87,200 - $95,100 annually (commensurate upon related skills and experience)

Position Description

The Senior Manager, Brand and Marketing maintains a consistent brand identity both internally and externally and is key to showcasing our conservation work and expanding the supporter, corporate partners and donor base through WWF-Canada's marketing initiatives.

The role oversees the brand and marketing process that includes advertising, creative, events and reports and has a solid understanding of branding, marketing and communications; understanding of digital media - online and mobile; as well as strong project management skills with a track record of achieving results.

Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Senior Manager manages a creative and data-driven team, along with third-party vendors that elevate WWF-Canada's brand loyalty.

As a member of Marketing leadership team, the Senior Manager, Brand & Marketing executes the marketing strategy, plan and budget that supports WWF-Canada's annual objectives by working with cross-functional internal teams, and with external partners, including the WWF Network, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the marketing team with the development and refinement of the overall marketing strategy and provide support with strategy implementation, based on of establishment objectives, market characteristics, as well as cost and markup factors.
  • Gather and analyze brand intelligence and insights to inform brand strategy.
  • Assess, and evaluate the effectiveness of WWF-International Network strategy for the benefit of WWF-Canada.
  • Provide support and guidance to other internal departments, collaborating on brand-parallel initiatives.
  • Develop branding and marketing materials to synthesize WWF-Canada's strategic direction, engaging broader audiences and aligning internal and external partners, donors, and community members to our mission.
  • Ensure WWF-Canada's visual identity is up to date and optimized on all services and platforms.
  • Evaluate media agency post-campaign reports to assess the effectiveness of advertising campaigns by analyzing key performance metrics and providing insights for optimizing future strategies.
  • Analyze relevant data from across the organization to develop holistic marketing insights.
  • Build a unified voice across WWF-Canada through enforcement and education on brand guidelines.
  • Develop print and online promotional content and materials to advertise events.
  • Maintain the marketing plan and budget, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Create presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Prepare regular reports including marketing metrics, industry trends and the Annual Report.
  • Secure and brief agencies and creative partners as the department's liaison.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports, identifying opportunities, facilitating execution, and seeking solutions to challenges.
  • Assist the Marcom team, as required, with other related duties contributing to the mandate and successful operation of the department and organization.


What We Are Looking For
  • 5+ years of brand management experience or past work in advertising, communications or media
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, AGILE preferred.
  • Experience developing, mentoring, and leading a team.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in developing and managing budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience in internal and external collaborations to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in French is an asset.
  • Familiarity with search engine optimization and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with First Nations Principles of OCAP, BC First Nations Data Governance Initiative, or other similar data sovereignty guidelines an asset.
