Job Summary:

Directs the Spears School Marketing & Communications unit, which consists of 7 other full-time employees and 1-2 part-time, paid interns. The M&C unit advances the goals of the Spears School through marketing and communications.

The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for all marketing and communications efforts of the Spears School. Responsible for leading efforts of creating, preparing, presenting alternatives, coordinating and assuring production/ implementation of all Spears School marketing and communications strategies and tactics. Ensures that marketing and communications efforts of the Spears School are accurate, consistent and timely while adhering to Oklahoma State University policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or Business-related field. 7 years Marketing, Media, and Public Relations experience.

Skills in utilization of personal computer especially with respect to developing publications for the Internet, familiarity with available print media and with specialized software for development of print area. Public relations and marketing skills. Skills in media layout and editing. Excellent communications and leadership skills, plus ability to interact with creative individuals from diverse backgrounds.
